arrived at the scene, lindsay, what can you tell us? >> tony, sean, just across the street from where this chase ended but we want to gave you a look at the suspect, vehicle, when that police car pulls away, you may be able to get a better look at it right there. so here's what we know about this situation. arlington police were attempt to go make a traffic stop on north kirkwood street in arlington. this was around 4:30. the driver failed to stop, arlington police followed the driver for a distance, they close not to pursue, notified park police, park police attempted a traffic stop, as well. that driver fled from park police, park police did pursue this is where everything ended. arlington police say, cars, during and eventually, police were able to detain him, here, on connecticut and upton, in northwest

just a few minute ago, we saw the suspect being take friend dc police custody to park police custody. he said something profane to us, as he was getting into the car, and saw our cameras. the big question remains, is what was this guy watching for? was this just a typical traffic stop? or was he wanted for something else? is there anything more to this case? was it just a guy that decided to flea from police as he was being pulled over, and it resulted in this, just some questions that we still have so working on getting those answers for you, and will have more information just as soon as we get those details. for now live in northwest, lindsay watts, fox5 locks news. >> i know you said he did run into some other cars. do we know if anyone was injured in this incident? >> no, we haven't heard about any injuries at all, arlington police just let us know that there were few cars that were

neighborhood. you'll hear from him in just a minute. he told us today that she turned 22 last thursday had been in south beach for fun, was shocked when officers came to his house early yesterday morning to tell him what had happened. we know from miami beach police that there was an accident on 12th avenue in beach, and shoe this come to a stop, was behind the wheel after bmw, then suddenly she speeds offer. we want to show you now a video and warn you that it is quite graphic. and was posted to social media by a music producer. and shows the damage bmw stopped on 12th street at ocean driver. you can hear there are several people commenting on how hithon looked behind the wheel, that she may have looked drunk when you see her male passenger get out of the car. >> now you're hearing what happened next. >> she had sped off.

and it hit hithon, while she was still behind the wheel of her bmw. they did try cpr. she was take end to a hospital and later died. now, hear from a witness. >> the officer, he was on the ground for -- and everyone was checking on him, asking if he was okay. he said he was okay. but it didn't appear that way. he wasn't able to stands up or anything like that, but he was responsive. >> we understands that officer has been released from the hospital. her father told us he she has had mental health issues, she transferred from hampton university to temple university. we also know from court records she has had several run in's with the law in just the last year, here's what he had to say about what happened when the officer showed up at e

yesterday. >> my immediate reaction when the police officer gave me the report of what happened, of course rage, went up in me. you know, how could, you know, thinks he is call ate with, you know, a five-two, five-three, 110-pound soaking wet young laid high couldn't harm a fly could have escalated to this. it was my immediate reaction. and then, you know, looking at the other details, i mean, i can only surmise that my daughter panic. >> we know from court records she's had several run in's with the law, i mentioned speeding, driving on suspended license, not giving a proper name to a police offer, but we also saw in one of the records that her father actually filed charges against her for unlawful taking after vehicle and property and that happened last year. person in the vehicle with her, miami dade, did release

he's been identified as ryan lucas, we tried to find ryan lucas today without success. to try and get his side of the story. live in bowie,. >> following more breaking news tonight, the owner every gaithersburg karate studio under arrest accused of inapropriately touching under age student. this is frank, owns the karate studio, detective began investigating back in june after a 15 year old girl accused him of inapropriately touching her earlier this year. police arrested yesterday. they believe there may be more victims. they're asking parents of karate student don't talk to their children about interactions, and if there are any issues to give police a >> firefighters on the scene, workers hit gas line with a drill right here along broad burying drive near plum orchard drive. several nearby buildings evacuated, several street in the area are also block off.

we're ready to shave about ten to 15 degrees off this tomorrow. but it will come with a bit of rain, which we also need. so, no complaints with this forecast. but check out the bus stop tomorrow morning. sixty-four to 68 degrees. some light rain, maybe around in some areas, and little bit of fog. after school, there will be some round every rain, as well, 68 to 72. so it won't be necessarily an all day rain, but enough rain that we may be able to have collected an inch or two in the rain bucket over the next few days it, doesn't just rain tomorrow, looks like it might rain on thursday, and a little bit on friday, as well. we're 83 degrees now. it is still pretty humid. so the heat index is 87 degrees. it is not as humid as it was yesterday. it is still pretty high for october. that means temperatures stay on the warm side, and tonight's one more mild night. eighty-three in the district. manassas, 83, fred rigs burying, 83, frederick 84 degrees. let's look at the heat index, combination of the temperature and humidity feels like upper 80s in many areas to mid 80s north. so rain is moving

now, our evening will stay dry. the rain for us will develop closer to the morning hours. so, keep the rain gear handy. and then let's go out to chicago, and you can see, the leading edge of the rain has now moved in. and it is a pretty big system, with more rain coming, as you look back toward iowa, through central illinois, i wanted to show you future cast for chicago because here comes the rain moving in now, watch the timer because that's really going to keep ongoing until about 7:00 in the morning. so good call. mlb, surface for us, wednesday, why are we changing from upper 80s to near 70 degrees? wind direction. and it is coming in off the ocean, that is going to bring a cool-down, but it is also still going to be pretty overcast, merky, and rainy. so temperatures go back to normal. we'll is under rounds every rain to deal with. stalled frontal boundery to the south little area of low pressure ripple along it, so by 11:00 start to see rain down to the south. much of it tries to work northward. not everybody is seeing rain in the morning, but, eug
